Each month the Landscape Committee will be selecting a home in Park Glen to recognize their well maintained and manicured lawns and shrubbery. If you are driving through the community and see a home that catches your eye please email the Landscape Committee at landscaping@parkglen.org. Sunburst Creations will donate a $25 gift card to the winner each month. The winner will also be listed in the Park Glen newsletter.

This year Park Glen is going to recognize three volunteers for the “Volunteer of the Year” award. A gift will be given to each winner at the Annual Meeting in August. This award will be chosen based off of the volunteers that contribute the most effort & participation within the community.

The Park Glen Eggstravaganza will kick off Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:00 am. The next four hours adults and children will be able to enjoy the festival which includes FREE pictures with the Easter Bunny, bounce houses, hayrides and wander through all the local vendor booths.

Every half hour an egg hunt will begin where children are divided by age groups.

Make sure to mark your calendar!  This event is one of Park Glen's largest events of the year!

The 2012 Park Glen Neighborhood Associations scholarship program will be offered again this year!  The Board of Directors approved the program for 2012, so check back on the application deadline.

Grab your instruments because Battle of the Bands is coming to a park near  you! Park Glen is hosting the Battle of the Bands on November 3, 2012. If you are interested in playing at Battle of the Bands please email the Park Glen Property Manager @ propertymanager@parkglen.org

Join the activities at our July 4th Double Event — which includes the 4th of July Parade and Picnic as well as Doggie Palooza which will be held on Saturday July 2, at 10 a.m., starting at the Alliance Baptist Church on Park Vista and continue on to the park located at the end of Ash River Rd. Start planning now what kind of floats you would like to create for the parade. If you are interested in helping volunteer a few hours of your time please contact the Property Manager.

The Annual Fall Décor Contest will take place during the month of October. The judging of the contest will be made on the week of October 22 - 26 by the Landscape Committee.

This will be a date time judging event!  So please make sure your decorations are visible in the day light!

Park Glen will host The 7th Annual Turkey Trot Run on Thursday November 22. This event has grown so much over the past few years that the 2011 Turkey Trot had over 500 participants.

The Social Committee is always in need of volunteers for this event. If you are interested in helping with various activities for this event, such as stuffing goodie bags for a few hours or helping on race day with registration, please contact the Association Manager.

We will also be hosting our 2nd Annual Food drive for Food for the Soul. We are encouraging EVERYONE to bring any non-perishable food they can spare to the Turkey Trot Event. If you can’t make it to the race then don’t worry Food for the Soul is located in Keller and can accept donations onsite or arrange to have larger donations picked up.

Food for the Soul provided over 250,000 meals to local (KELLER ISD STUDENTS) hungry families and children in less than a year! With the holidays around the corner your help is greatly appreciated.
