Each month the Landscape Committee will be selecting a home in Park Glen to recognize their well maintained and manicured lawns and shrubbery. If you are driving through the community and see a home that catches your eye please email the Landscape Committee at landscaping@parkglen.org. Sunburst Creations will donate a $25 gift card to the winner each month. The winner will also be listed in the Park Glen newsletter.

Volunteers of the Year
This year Park Glen is going to recognize three volunteers for the “Volunteer of the Year” award. A gift will be given to each winner at the Annual Meeting in August. This award will be chosen based off of the volunteers that contribute the most effort & participation within the community.

Park Glen Neighborhood Association Scholarship Program
The 2010 Park Glen Neighborhood Associations winners have been selected.

The 2011 Scholarship Program will increase to ten accepted applicants who will each be awarded $500 for a total of $5000 to be given on behalf of the Park Glen Neighborhood Association.

July 4th Parade & Picnic, Business Expo and Doggie Palooza
Saturday July 3, 2010 Time: 10:00 a.m.
Join the activities at our July 4th Triple Event — which includes the 4th of July Parade and Picnic as well as the Park Glen Business Expo and Doggie Palooza events which will be held on Saturday July 3, at 10 a.m., starting at the Alliance Baptist Church on Park Vista and continue on to the park located at the end of Ash River Rd. Start planning now what kind of floats you would like to create for the parade. If you are interested in helping volunteer a few hours of your time please contact tfelt@lonestarmanagement.com.
Business Expo
Here is your opportunity to display your products, and tell others about your business! Who should participate? All business owners (new and existing) in the Park Glen area.

Deadline for space rental is June 18 with payment and registration form. Vendor packets will be received on June 25. Vendor packets will include table numbers, arrival times and parking area passes, vendor contracts and other information as needed.

PID 6 Garage Sale
Any resident wanting to participate must obtain a City of Fort Worth garage sale permit 3 days in advance.
There is no charge. You can apply online or call
817-392-2222 and give them your address.
PID 6 takes care of advertisements. So there is no cost to you.
The City of Fort Worth has an ordinance that prohibits PID 6 from publicizing events onsite so we are unable to have
portable signs to advertise this event in the PID 6 area.

National Night Out

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and evening event from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Alliance United Methodist Church
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support and participate in anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and send a message that neighborhoods are fighting back against crime. So come out and join us and meet some of your local law enforcement.
We will also be have a vendor fair, health and safety fair, games, food, music and fun! Alliance United Methodist Church will also be hosting a dinner, door prize drawing, and live auction that evening. Watch for more information regarding this event! 6th Annual Turkey Trot Run
Park Glen will host The 6th Annual Turkey Trot Run on Thursday November 25. This event has grown so much over the past few years that the 2009 Turkey Trot had over 500 participants. The Social Committee is always in need of volunteers for this event. If you are interested in helping with various activities for this event, such as stuffing goodie bags for a few hours or helping on race day with registration, please contact Tiffani Felt at: tfelt@lonestarmanagement.com.

Holiday in the Park Event
